The 48 cards with drawings of various artists, sites, and buildings provide a broader picture of Amsterdam and its drug history in recent decades. It’s a real pleasure to play, offering a chance to learn more about the city and the pros and cons of drug use and abuse. Each card in the game tells its own story, and together they create a journey through Amsterdam and its underground scene from the past to the present. Enjoy the game!

Yearly dance event in dozens of clubs all over Amsterdam, including the Amsterdam Tower in the northern part of the city.

Died in 2004. A working-class fellow and popular folk singer, “Blood, Sweat & Tears” was one of his hits and is still the club song for AJAX.

Methylenedioxy-methamphetamine, or ‘love drug,’ is ecstasy. Commonly used in the dance scene. Makes sense and fakes sense.
